How to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 8 or 8.1





Today I’m going to show you how to install NET Framework 3.5 on windows 8 or windows 8.1. This is the thing most windows users face in now a days. Because windows 8 and windows 8.1 haven't come with the NET Framework 3.5. In that case we face this error when we going to install the some applications which are applications written using 3.5 Framework.


There are some methods to install the NET Framework 3.5 in the internet. But these methods are totally useless. And consume my data which are in my Internet package. Because we have to download around 300 Mb file. Sometime this one also will not fix the problem.

Microsoft also provide the solution for this. They give us an offline installer which can install NET Framework 3.5. This one very little file which is about 700kb. Oh so we can save our data using this installer. Isn’t it??? Noooooooo… this installer also need to install internet to download the NET Framework 3.5 files. So this also not good solutions. Because every day I have to repair 3 or more PC to install or repair PCs. In that case this was a heavy data consume and big problem for me.

But you know something.  We have already NET Framework 3.5 setup files (files we need to install NET Framework 3.5) if you have a Windows 8 or windows 8.1 installation Disk.  But there is a problem, because this one can’t install double click on this file. SO we have to use DISM tool (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) to install NET Framework 3.5 in our PC.

So we need following things to install NET Framework 3.5 setup files using this method.
1.      
      1.Windows 8 or windows 8.1 installation Disk or disk  Image file(.iso)




   2.User account which has administrator privileges.



Ok guys, time to install the NET Framework 3.5 on your PC.  

First run the Command prompt with Administer privileges. To do this right click on the start menu and select "Command Prompt(Admin). If you are using windows 8 go to edge of the left side desktop conner, then appear the start button (Below Picture) then right click. 


Start in windows 8 



Ok now appear pop up call "User Account Control" to Run the Command Prompt with the Administrator Privilege. Simply Click on "Yes" button.   



OK Now Insert your windows installation DVD in to your DVD drive. And find the DVD drive letter by visiting the My computer(:p windows 8 haven't my computer, they rename it to This PC) 



In this case my DVD Drive letter is "D". So keep your letter on your mind. it will need in next step. So now copy the fallowing code and past in to your command prompt which is opened previous step.



Now replace the with your driver letter with the "X" in the above code. like this. My driver letter is "D". if you haven't a Windows DVD, Don't worry. Extract the ISO image to the folder and replace with "X" your folder.



Now press enter button and wait for the installation. 


OK now you installed the NET Framework 3.5 successfully on your PC.  Thanks for reading my post...
